27th A very frosty day took straw up to stable oiled harness carted 2 loads neeps to cobble to thaw thrashed at night
28th I to Dufftown with Poll in cart Willie with me Anderson VS Keith examined Polls mouth nothing wrong with her teeth from Sheed 7st Thorley cake

1st I gave sheep neeps today for first time gave them a sledgeful today & one out for tomorrow a.m. Jas Reid here noon gave us a hand to thrash fresh kind today I plucked some neeps p.m. still a hard grip of frost Maggie Law begging for Belgian fund

1st Wilson & Willie amongst sheep a.m. gather them then Wilson to Bridgend for plow Father working in garden

3rd Willie & Jockie at Rhynie Wilson & father winnowing corn & took in a rick Geo Gordon
4th Father away at Lumsden Wilson making ready tatie ground Bairns all at school Jane Cameron over for straw & paid me 28/- for corn & gave baby 1/- two girls from Elrick for terebene for horse I cleaning milkhouse.
5th father & Dova taking hay & thrashed Wilson still at tatie ground Bairns all at school Jane Dann paid me 10/- for corn. & gave baby 2/- A. Souter landed tonight again with M Law.
6th Wilson over working H Nicoll’s farm Sandy Souter sowed got 12/- from old Jane for doing it Bairns all at school Bella stayed all night A. esson here needing straw for Tillyminnet did not sell him any Dova & I washing blankets
7th Wilson, Father, Bell & Dova all working at taties planted them all Sandy Souter helping them ... Bright dog started to cut the lambs 10 of them
8th Willie down at Cottage with load of turnips Wilson & Willie marking the lambs ... Dr at Nellie ... Sandy Souter left gave Baby 6/- . Hornie cow calved last night a bull calf.

15th My sister & I away a drive with baby went by Lumsden & Dr 7 baby at my sisters Isa then came home by Rhynie & called at Maggies came on a wet night. vis James Reid & Edward Shearer. Daisy did splendid I never tried to drive in my life before she is afraid of nothing.

22nd This is the opening of Church a minister from Glasgow after being repaired
25th I & Jockie working in garden up hill for white heather & planted in garden fine day.

4th Sandy in moss all day Father up. I, Jockie, baby & James Reid drove to Raemurrick with Daisy All the rest of the bairns at home.
5th Home from Raemurrick by 7.30. got a lot of apples & a big jar of black currants from Aunty . Sandy down at Howtown.
15th ... a motor car up to Bracklach for first time.
17th ...Annie in bed all day got a box of chocklates from Dick.
19th ... Dolly ill & sick today Annie some better..
23rd ... Jockie very bad with his throat ..
25th Sandy driving peats home 4 loads all home a.m. then finished stack a boy up with a letter telling him his son has been killed at the Dardanelles so he is away down to see them at home poor lad
