I sent Willie to Shands pm he did not go but went to Roberts for whisky & tobacco to himself 7th I went to door naked & charged Willie for kicking the mare with his feet and thrashing her with a stick. He could not yoke her into sledge so I did it myself & took neeps to cots. April 8th Lost gimmer could not find her,saddled mare & went to hill to see & find her. I laired the mare coming home. Mary Reid got ewe in cots very ill gave her linseed oil & laudanum. 9th Ewe worse. I washed sledge & painted door blue. Powneed folk had a fine chase after a calf.
