white hares. Snowing near all day.

20 Wm Reid pointed door and left after dinner. I paid him 3/- for
stones he would not have anything for work. shand finished door,
made 2 lids, sorted bed & piano
21 Harry cleaning harness all day went for mare at night cleaned
till 3am next morning I helping him and has hurted my leg and it
getting on so well
22 Plowing match came off 1st John Sheed 2nd Gordon McBain,
Harry, J Dawson & Wm Kellas not at it
23 frosty but some plowing. Alex Gordon came up for the mare
tonight

25 Alex brought up Love tonight, wants a shoe.. Reid at Aldunie
playing. Cow ill tonight gave her 2 glass whisky and some ginger

16 Wm Reid broke one of the upright stones in three bits has not
made a good job of fireplace at all. Mrs Duncan's boy up with
letter from A.G. Gave Mrs Clark notice about house.
20 Monday I up and out a fine day. Alexr Gordon brought my 2 qrs
hamilton oats... a very sore inside & leg with being up... took
in rick today just 2 out now.
22 J. Robertson driving seed corn from gartly station. Very fine
day.
23 .. Lizzie & Maggie Smith here fine music H. Robertson over,
Alex Gordon weighed her. She is 9st 21/2lbs.McDonald up tonight.
25 Bodie sowed cleanground at Littletown, I think he would be
first in the place.
27 Bob left this morning at 3 a.m. on bicycle to be at Wellheads
by 6 a.m....Auchmair sowed 21/2qrs Scotch birley
28 Auchmair sowed 2 qrs. his lea very ill to harrow gave it 5
double tinings & still not right. Factor of Torney sowed.
Bracklach here tonight 7 games I 6 wins & 1 drawn. Jane & Mother
washing blankets.
29 Jane to Rhynie, from saddler bottle of oil for harness, Murray
1 oz steel drops, 2oz Laudanum, 1/4lb sulphur, stick of s.wax.
Bodie to Dufftown for seed corn. Blackhills sowed first today. I

1 A.G broke in & sowed lea 11/2qrs Hamilton oats my first...A.G.
took to Bracklachs bull. Bank sent for him to sit with unwell
horse. fine day.
3 A.G. broke in yavel very ill to do Scotch birley at this end,
Hamilton & potato at far end. sandy harrowing afternoon. A.G.
took colt to smiddy and got on fore shoes on him. Dr Farquharson
at school tonight.
4 Sandy Jane Daun & Mother ironed all the hogs with DSB near
horn 136 in all out of 159 + 23 dead. A.G. finished harrowing by
4P.M. took mares cart & big backed chair with him.
5 Ditto cleaned all the ewes udders. gave Jane daun 1 bushel
Hamilton oats to sow her farm. |
